So, as promised, here is my weekend update!
On Friday night, my sorority had a party that we call Grub (Girls Round Up Boys). The theme was dynamic duos and my date and I went as a fangirl/groupie and a rockstar..so real to my life. I won't post pictures here, for my friends' privacy...but they are on my instagram if you would like to see them! They should be showing up on the sidebar! (you can totally follow me while you're if you'd like to keep up with my day-to-day life!)
Something super exciting that happened on Saturday was my guest post on Mason...Like the Jar! I was very nervous about posting it because Mason (and her blog) is so awesome and I wanted my guest post to do her blog, and her readers justice! The lovely comments I got, both on my blog and on my post, were so nice and lovely and I'm so lucky to have such sweet people reading all my ramblings! Y'all are all little blessings! (:
Saturday morning, I was not feeling my best, so I drove home and stopped at this little coffee shop/cafe where I used to work in high school! They serve the best breakfast and lunch and the place is just the cutest (I did not take a picture of my whole plate because I was so embarrassed by the fact that I literally ordered about 7 things..but yum)! Y'all should know that I'm very big on cozy atmospheres in coffee shops, my room, libraries, classrooms, anything really, and this is one of my favorite places that makes me feel so at home (also, if you look closely you may see my best friend C "posing" behind the counter...she works there)! It's also right on the train track and listening to (and watching the little kids run to watch..so cute!) the train pass is one of my favorite things to do. Anyways, after a breakfast of champions (eggs, bacon, pecan waffle, oh my!), my mom and I were off to Target where I bought some preeety cool things!
Okay, so I'm obsessed with anything fall in general, but especially fall-ish scented candles. The pumpkin spice is my favorite because it is strong and such a good smell for cold days in! The salted caramel is a tad sweeter, but still so, so lovely! They were on sale for buy 3 get 1 free, so my mom bought the same scents as mine, as we've been burning them all weekend!
This fall themed macaroni was just too cute to pass up and I will definitely be posting an artsy insta pic when I make it, so be on the lookout!
Sunday was just a day filled with family! My grandparents just got back from almost 3 weeks in Rome, so we had lunch there (a usual Sunday occurrence) and then I stopped at my dad's before heading back to school! Sunday night consisted of laundry (yuck!) and starting Dawson's Creek Season 1! I loved that show so much when I was about middle school to early high school age and I have such great memories of watching it with my older sister. If anyone wants a really good series to start, I definitely recommend it!
Being in my own room with my big, comfy bed was so nice, especially since last week was busy and hectic with tests and assignments! Here's a little peek of what my room at home looks like (I also have a gold crown above my bed, duh), and I promise to do a whole post on my dorm soon!
All my love,
