It was the Best Haul Ever….

 photo sarah-hello_zps81f8f64b.jpg
Whenever I go into any sort of drug store or grocery, no matter how perfectly crafted my shopping list, I always end up in the beauty products and I come out with way more than I intended. This happened for the millionth time last week and I am seriously so chuffed about all my new goodies! Some may say "it was the best haul everrrr…"
For a while I've been using the Clinique Take the Day Off makeup remover, but that got to be a bit expensive and I wanted to test out the drugstore alternatives. Even though this can leave a bit of oil around your eyes, it dried quickly and doesn't make my skin oily at all. I really love that the oil and water separate in the bottle because it provides a great science experiment. I find it works just as well as the Clinique version and my eyelashes are loving it!

Yes, I have gone and jumped on the lip butter bandwagon. These things are genus in a tube and I want them all. I have Berry Smoothie, which is a "my lips but better" type with just enough color, and Sugar Plum, which still looks very casual for everyday but has more berry tones. Think softness of a chapstick, color of a lipstick, and semi-glossy like a gloss…total obsession.
I hate using a bar of soap. For years I've been washing my body with shampoo because 1. I'm lazy and 2. Everyone using/ touching the same bar of soap day in and day out is very cringeworthy. The smell of this stuff is wonderful but super light and I find it to be very moisturizing. I love using it when I shower right before bed because it's just a super soothing scent.

I have been using a pore minimizing scrub for the past few months or so, but lately I feel like my skin isn't squeaky clean enough. I picked this up in the store because I use the lotion that goes with this and really love it…I'm also a sucker for the clean, simple packaging. As far as gentle goes, it isn't the gentlest as if I didn't moisturize after a shower I think my skin would be too dry, but as far as cleanliness goes, it's absolutely wonderful. My skin has been looking amazing since I started using it and I would really recommend it unless your skin is very dry! This will definitely be perfect for summer though!

Have you bought any stand out products lately?

  1. Berrie Smoothie is one of my faves! I think I have every lip butter they made. I'm obsessed with them! :)

    Sweet Southern Sparkle

  2. I hate bar soap too! So gross... Love your 1D song reference ;)

  3. I love Neutrogena products but I do find that they can be quite drying. They smell good though, clean and nice :D

    Cathy x

  4. Ohh I need to look into that makeup remover! The clinique makeup removers are some of my favorite but they can get a bit pricey! Berry Smoothie is so pretty! The plum one is probably gorgeous as well, might have to be on the lookout for that shade :)

  5. I've never tried the Maybelline makeup remover, but if you want a good drugstore brand, the Almay makeup remover is WONDERFUL (and there's no oil at all). :)
