A Week in the Life #13

Happy Monday! Here's a look at a few of the things I did leading up to the 4th and over 4th of July weekend. Currently, I'm on vacation with my family on Amelia Island (off the coast of Florida), so the 4th was extra festive!
Hannah and I out at the dock before lunch!

The desert = the most important part. Cherry Dump Cake, Banana Pudding, and Mississippi Mud Pie…yum yum.

My Flag Cake didn't turn out as "pinteresty" as I would have liked, but it tasted very good and wasn't too bad. My best tip would be to use a firmer cake mix than confetti cake and to fridge the layers overnight. Here's the full explanation

After eating lunch and hanging out at the pond that afternoon, we went downtown to Sounds on Centre. The band was not that great, but sitting right on the harbor in the beautiful weather was so much fun!
The streets were so packed full of people!

Afterwards, we went back home and watched the fireworks from St. Mary's on the dock! It was so awesome!

A few of my favorite snaps from the weekend, taken from my Insta, swimming with the fish under the pond dock, burgers at Tasty's, and breakfast on the front porch looking through the trees to Bell's River (right across from St. Mary's, Georgia!

One of my favorite things we did this weekend - The Courtyard! It's a piano bar and the pianist plays the beginning of a song and then you have to guess it…it was a blast!

On Sunday, we went to our favorite church on the island - St. Peter's. I love the feel of the place and everyone is so nice! They also have the most beautiful stained glass windows...

All in all, it was a great 4th of July weekend and I'm looking forward to a relaxing week at the beach!
How was your weekend? What did you do to celebrate the 4th?
