Back to Beauty Link-Up #backtobeauty

I took this in the middle of a rainstorm under florescent lighting…please don't judge me.

Today I'm joining in on Victoria (Memphis Made) and Hunter's (Prep on a Budget) Link Up! It's called Back to Beauty and it's all about what products we use for our everyday look, just in time for Back to School season! I actually don't start classes until September 30th (whoop whoop British schedules!), but I use the same things everyday for the same "look" so here goes!

1. What is your favorite beauty product?
Concealer. I can do without foundation and blush, and mascara (if I absolutely must), but I cannot go around looking like I've got two puffy black eyes. And plus, it just brightens everything up and makes you look so much more awake! My favorite drug store concealer would be Maybelline's Age Defy Brightening Concealer (works wonders in one quick swipe), but my favorite higher end concealer is MAC's Studio Fix Concealer, because it works well for under eyes and dark circles, even though it is a bit yellow toned. (Also I'm a bit convinced that it's fairly waterproof, as it didn't come off in the pool the other day…so that's a plus!)

2. What kind of look do you like to achieve with your makeup?
I like to look fresh, awake, and bright. I don't wear any heavy eye makeup or do any contouring really, so my face looks pretty natural on an everyday basis!

A selfie of my sister and I because I felt it was necessary.
3. Which products do you use for your "everyday" look?
Primer, Concealer (under eyes), Foundation, Extra Concealer (for any spots or seriously bad dark circles), Powder, Blush, Mascara, and Eyebrow Powder. Oh, and finishing spray, because that stuff is the glue that keeps my life together.

4. What do you like about those products?
I like that they are simple, easy to find and apply, pretty cheap for the most part, but very good quality for my sensitive skin. All together, my makeup takes 15-20 mins, so it's relatively time efficient.

5. What's your favorite makeup brand?
Oh, that's a hard one. I'd love to say MAC, but I'm a college student, and I'm not about being broke all of the time, so I'd have to go with any drugstore brand like Revlon, Rimmel, Maybelline, or Covergirl.

6. Tell us why we should go get your favorite product right now.
Because no one needs to know how late you stayed up last night procrastinating your homework…do away with the dark circles and look like you're ready for the day (even when you totally aren' t because a 7:30 AM class is good for no one).

Go check out all the other posts (or link yours up) on Victoria and Hunter's blogs! Have an awesome weekend, and good luck for those of you going back to school on Monday!
