I don't know about y'all, but I find swim suit shopping really hard. I don't know if it's the pressure in our society to always look picture perfect or the idea that swim suits should be sexy rather than functional, but it always seems to be a struggle to find one that I like, feel good in, and can actually lay out, swim, and do beachy things in. BUT, this year, I've hit the jackpot. I rounded up some of my fav finds and the ones I've purchased this season, so hopefully they give you some inspo and motivation to swim suit shop confidently this season! Swimspiration
Normally I go straight to Victoria's Secret for bathing suits and I've been doing that for years. I love their cheeky bottoms as they always fit my bum perfectly and I never have to worry about any weird scrunching or sizing issues. However, I'm not into anything VS has put out this year. Everything is lace up, leopard printed, or way too tiny, so I set off on the hunt for classic, easy to wear pieces that I can confidently go out on the beach in.
I just got the scalloped ON swimsuit in the mail, and despite mixed reviews, I LOVE IT. I got it in green as the black was sold out, but oh my goodness, I'm in love. The color looks great on my pale skin now, but I think it'd look amazing on a girl with a tan, so we'll see. The top isn't padded at all, which is what most girls were complaining about, but the fabric is very thick, so I don't mind. There's not a whole lot in the way of support, but I'm 21 years old, so I don't need much. For reference, I'm a 34C or 32D in bras and I got a large top and bottom. There's plenty of coverage on the butt and sides to feel comfortable, but not too much to be a diaper, YAY!

I also got this gingham suit from J.Crew and although I haven't gotten the bandeau top in yet [EDIT: I got it, love it, and I'm keeping it and returning the triangle top], I have tried the bottom and the french triangle top. The triangle top is not my favorite, but I'm waiting until the bandeau top comes in to decide on it. It is padded and has adjustable straps, as does the ON one, but it smushes my boobs rather than supports them, so I don't know how I feel about that. Sporty? Yes. Sexy? No. The bottoms are great, meduim coverage and thicker sides, which is just how I like it. The sides of the bottoms come up a little higher, so you can see my tan lines for my cheeky VS bottoms which run small, but I don't mind and I feel like I can move around without worrying about my bum showing. This time I got a medium top and large bottom, based on reviews.

What swim styles are you loving this season?
