Cyber Monday Deals and Codes

Happy Monday friends! Wow, this past week has flown by! I SO enjoyed having some downtime with my family and friends, and hosting a giveaway for you guys, but am now moving full speed ahead into finals and then graduation!! I pulled together a few of my favorite Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, most of which I scooped up myself, and I thought I'd post them here. Now is a great time to start buying gifts, but starting next week I'll be posting my annual gift guides. So far I've got one for the girls, one for guys, and one for parents. Are there any other categories you'd like to see? Do you prefer the grouped by person or price? Please PLEASE let me know in the comments below! I want to post what you guys want to see!
Kate Spade Cup / H&M Sweater / Kendra Scott Bracelet / Toms Booties
Gap LBD / Kendra Scott Earrings / Kendra Scott Elisa Necklace / Fair Isle Socks
Tory Burch Boots / J. Crew Pajamas / Ray Ban Erikas / Barrington Tote / Bell Sleeve Top
I am so excited for my new Kate Spade mug to take hot chocolate to work and class! I got the matching table runner to decorate our apartment and it makes my heart so happy! Same with that reindeer sweater...LOVE. I already own those TOMS booties and absolutely could not recommend them enough. That Gap LBD is my graduation dress because it is SO stretchy and flattering...I even bought it in red during the sales because I love it so much! I finally scooped up those J.Crew pajamas after stalking them for weeks and I stocked up on my camp socks too. J. Crew has the cutest socks and I always get some for Myles for Christmas as a stocking stuffer. I recently got the Tory Burch Derby boots, but now they're UNDER $300! You can't beat that deal, so if you want them, RUN, before they're all sold out. I have been dreaming about that Barrington tote, but I actually own that Halogen bell sleeve top. I love the shape and color, but it runs small, so size up!

I am thankful for... + GIVEAWAY

Happy Thanksgiving friends! Today I plan to wake up early, bake a sweet potato casserole and a pecan pie, and enjoy time with family eating yummy food until I can't eat any more! I love Thanksgiving because it's all about cooking together, eating together, and reflecting on the year coming to a close.
My fam last year
This year I am so thankful for...
Myles and our loving, supportive, FUN relationship. It seems crazy that we've known each other for less than two years, but I couldn't imagine my life without him.
My family, who support my crazy dreams and wishes and are always there when I need them. We've had some downs, but we always have more ups, and I think that's the mark of any good family. I wouldn't trade Sunday lunches for a million bucks!
My education, a job I love and a steady income, a cute college apartment that feels like a home, and the cutest pet rabbit there ever was. I am so, SO blessed and I hope I never forget that.
YOU. The bloggy community that has formed around Sarah Smile could not be sweeter if I dreamed it up. I have blog friends all over the States and Europe and I love catching up on bloglovin', twitter, facebook pages, etc. I really get invested in both my readers' lives and my blog friends' and I am SO thankful for that. It's a unique part of this world we live in and I am such a fan.
Since it's the day of thanks, I want to say a BIG thank you to all of you who take the time to read, comment, and send bloggy love my way. I got a lot of love on my "Best Beauty Advent Calendars" post, SO...
I purchased an extra Target 12 Days of Beauty Favs Advent Calendar (can't WAIT to open mine!) and I want to gift it to one of you! I think opening one present each night leading up to Christmas is so exciting and luxurious and I hope one of you enjoys it and feels a little extra special! You can enter below and I hope you have a very joyful Thanksgiving!

Best of Beauty Advent Calendars

Good morning guys! This morning I thought I would share one of my favorite parts of the holiday season: ADVENT CALENDARS! If you're not familiar, they come in all different combinations and general have 24 to open on each day of December leading up to Christmas. I was never familiar with chocolate ones or especially beauty ones until I went to England in 2014. Since then, SO many brands have been putting them out here in the States and this year is a wonderful year for budget friendly beauty and skincare options.
Advent Calendars

For the beauty lover:
Similar in terms of size and cost to the Target Beauty Box, this one gives you a good bang for your buck, as you get all sorts of different products at Target prices! For only $25, there is no risk with gifting this one or keeping it for yourself. I already ordered it and cannot wait to start trying out new brands and affordable products!
This one is probably my favorite of the season! I have never tried a lot of the "holy grail" Benefit products like Bene-tint and Hoola bronzer, but this calendar comes with little minis! I love that they include almost all of their most raved about products because I get to try all of them before I fully invest. It's a little pricier at $45, but still an amazing gift for the girl who loves to try new products or for yourself if you just want to get your feet wet in benefit products, like me. If it is sold out at the link above, try here!
NYX Wanderlust
This one is SUCH a gem and I know people who love their matte lipsticks will LOVE this box. I know my sister will freak out. It comes with a range of their very popular matte lipsticks and eye shadows and is such a good price at only $50. This would be great as a gift to a massive beauty guru, but also good to split up and give as small gifts to bible study friends, sorority sisters, etc in a cute little coffee mug or something!
  For the skincare fiend:
Yall, I have never tried anything from L'Occitane but I am SO tempted. Every time I pass the store it smells so good and all of the products have such a wide range. You get shampoo and conditioner sets, hand creme, shower gel, etc and it all sounds so amazing! I personally think this would be a great "mom" gift to make December exciting as it gets close to Christmas and have a few pamper nights!
Nuxe Beauty Countdown
This one is so luxurious and so precious! All the Parisian inspired packing makes it a perfect gift for anyone you really want to make feel special without totally burning through your wallet. I've never tried it, but the brand as a whole has really good reviews, so buying a set like this is the perfect way to test it out!
  For the polish lover:
Ciate Nail Collection
This set comes with 18 mini nails polishes, 1 full size polish, 2 nail toppers, 2 nail treatments, and a mini nail file. I swear, if I didn't bite my nails down to nothing I'd have gotten this the minute I saw it. It's another good one that can be gifted as a whole or broken down into multiple smaller gifts and will literally work for everyone from your little sister to your cousin you never see. It's a good one for sure!
  For the lover of luxury:
Charlotte Tilbury
This one is the dream, y'all. It's $200, so like not in my budget this year at all, but it is beautiful for sure. Charlotte Tilbury is known for being super high quality, so really you'd spend $200 on only a few full size products, which makes this a steal if you've got the cash to spend. It's a great way to see what you like/don't like and you can't go wrong with a brand like Charlotte Tilbury.
I am giving away a Target 12 Days of Beauty Favs Advent calendar here, so make sure you enter!!

Christmas and Graduation Wishlist

Hi friends! Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? I cannot believe how quickly time has flown by. I graduate less than a month from today, and even though I'm holding out on my holiday gift guides until after Thanksgiving, I thought I'd put up my Christmas/Graduation Gift wishlist. I get asked all the time what I'd like, so I thought putting this up would be easier, plus give you guys ideas if you are making your Christmas wishlists too! Obviously I am so very thankful for everything I get (especially Jimmy John's giftcards *wink*), I just thought I'd help a few of my friends and family with some ideas!

Xmas Wishlist

Tempurpedic Pillow / I know, it's an odd thing to ask for for Christmas, but I really love my sleep and my old pillow has gotten a bit flat. Plus, it's like getting silk sheets...a little but of luxury and something you'll get TONS of use out of.

Tarte Eyeshadow Palette / This has been on my list since last year. I love the colors, it reminds me of my Naked 3 palette a little, but that cranberry and the gold shimmer are so unique! Tarte is great quality, so I think it'd be a good gift for any makeup lover!

The Horse Rose Gold Watch / I'm really not a big jewelry person, so I've never invested in a nice watch before. Since I'm trying to incorporate more classic accessories into my wardrobe, I think this is perfect. The blush band is still neutral but it's not as dark as black or brown leather. The face is so simple and classic and I love the rose gold! It's girly, but still professional and I think it's a great gift!

Diamond Stud Earrings / These are my "totally not gonna get them but still wishing anyway" gift. I LOVE my pearl studs, but I eventually want to add diamond studs to the collection because I think they add a little sparkle to a fancy outfit without being over the top. I don't wear any hanging earrings, so studs are my favorite, and I think eventually I'll make the investment.

Rayban Erikas / To me, Raybans make a great gift! You can even personalize them on their website, which I think is such a nice touch. They're never going to go out of style and I think sunglasses are a very good gift because you know they're going to get a lot of good use. I've never been one to pay more than $20 for sunglasses, but I'm starting to notice how much the sun bugs my eyes as I get older, so I thought I'd pop them onto the list! The Erika style is pretty universally flattering and the tortoiseshell is so precious!

Kendra Scott Druzy Earrings and Bracelet/ Again, I'm trying to build up a better jewelry collection and I love my Kendra Scott opal necklace. These pieces will go with everything, but they're still very dainty and not too over the top, which is how I like my jewelry. I like that they are sparkly, but not overly large or in your face and I think they'd make a great gift for anyone!

LL Bean Fisherman Tunic Sweater / I think this is just the cutest thing. It's such a nice twist on their classic fisherman sweater for people like me who want to wear it with leggings. I love the rounded bottom and extra length, but you still get the classic feel and warmth of a fisherman sweater. I don't have many black sweaters in my closet, so I think this would be the perfect addition. Not to mention the super high quality and long lifespan of any LL Bean product.

Nike Juvenate Sneakers / I used to never wear sneakers until I got my first pair of Nike Fly knits. Now I love wearing them to class and just to run errands, so when I saw this robin's egg blue pair in a similar style, I fell in love. I like that they're not the super popular grey that everyone and their mother has now, but they're still very neutral and would look just as cute with rolled up jeans and a workout outfit. (Size 9.5 *wink*)

Barrington Gifts St. Anne Tote / YALL, I am obsessed with this tote bag. Barrington is super high quality and will last a lifetime. I could see myself using this to carry my laptop and books to law school next year but also using it as a work bag when I'm a lawyer in 4 years. I love the deer print because it is different from all of the other animal prints out there and it's just so crisp and clean looking. This would be a great gift for grads of all ages, moms, sisters, aunts, etc. I can't picture anyone not loving it.

3 Outfits Perfect for Thanksgiving Day

Good morning friends! A little over a week from today, we will hopefully all be surrounded by family and friends, dressed to the nines with really full bellies! I LOVE this time of year. I love the outfits. I love the family time. I love the weather. And I love the food. You really can't beat October/December and I've been loving putting outfits together with that in mind. I picked two more casual ones and one dressy one, and I love all three! Can we just do Thanksgiving dinner all week?
This first outfit is a bit dressier than my second one, but every bit as comfy. I love this blouse from H&M because it looks very tailored and sophisticated, in fact it would be a great wear-to-work piece, but it's super comfortable. I love the pleats around the neck and I think it will pair well with so many things in my closet. Y'all, I've talked about the green skirt for months, but I still love it. It's transitioning with the changing weather so well and has held up to washing even better than I expected. Plus, it's on sale for only $30 right now! I think it is definitely a more trendy piece, but when paired with a classic like the silk blouse, it will fit right in at your Thanksgiving table. And that green color!! I paired it with my Kendra Scott opal Elisa, which I am SO glad I bought, and I think it gave it a little something nice, but still dainty, which is how I like all my jewelry to be. My black bow flats are from a local boutique but I've linked some very similar ones!

I think this is the coziest, yet still most adorable Thanksgiving outfit I could've picked. That plaid shirt screams festive fall and the teddy bear vest is just SO comfortable. I basically put all my favorites together, as you guys know I swear by my rockstar jeans and Toms booties. I think that if you're not comfortably dressed, you can't really enjoy yourself, so if your family isn't one for dressing up, this would be a great way to still be stylish but not overdressed! I paired it with my tortoiseshell headband and pearl earrings to keep it classic but laid back. Easy peezy for those of us who like to sleep in on the holidays! *wink wink*

YALL,  this is my favorite. If I could mash my classic but preppy personality into an outfit, this would be it. I think you'll be surprised to know it was actually very comfortable too, albeit not able to hide any sort of food baby! This wrap skirt from Top Shop is actually on super sale right now (under $50!!), so grab it while you can! I've already worn it twice and I think it's going to be perfect for any and every holiday party because it goes with EVERYTHING and is so well made. I got my top and scarf while I was in England, so I can't find the exact ones anymore, but I linked up a few similar ones I think you'll love. Really, just pick out a few classic basics in your closet and throw on a statement blanket scarf and you've got it. I love the way the plaid stands out but is still pretty neutral and the tie on the top just gives it an extra touch. My Kate Spade necklace was a sweet gift from a friend and I think it adds the daintiest holiday touch. Cheers to the holidays friends!

What are you most excited for on Thanksgiving Day?

Glossier Makeup Review

Good morning friends! It's been a long, tiring week, and I am SO glad it's almost Friday. Myles and I have plans to go hiking (!!), watch the LSU game, and then spend Sunday relaxing on the couch. What're your plans this weekend? Whatever they are, I hope they're good!

I recently purchased a few products from Glossier; a completely online makeup and skincare brand that has taken social media by storm. I was drawn in by their natural, dewy looking makeup and their hypoallergenic, paraben-free, fragrance free products that are not tested on animals. If you're looking for an affordable, natural alternative to what you're putting on your face, this might be it! I ordered the Perfecting Skin Tint and the Stretch Concealer, both in light.

I found that both were exactly what they claimed to be. Very light coverage, dewy natural finish, and while not moisturizing, not drying either, because they are heavily water based. I would recommend them for people with little to no skin issues as they are not high coverage in the slightest, but I still enjoy them. I use them on days where I just wanted to even my skin out a bit and brighten under my eyes without doing my whole face. I put a few drops of the Skin Tint on the back of my hand, use my Real Techniques face brush to pat it into my skin, and then put the concealer wherever I have redness or spots. You definitely need to set with powder as the watery formula can move and crease if it is not set.
Overall, the coverage was buildable, but still only to a light, natural finish, and the lasting power was pretty normal for other products similar to these. I would say if you have dry skin and want to try something a little lighter for everyday wear, go for it! If you have oily or problematic skin, I'd go for something a bit dryer and higher coverage! I'd rate it a 7/10, mostly because it is slightly more expensive and not applicable for everything, but is still natural and healthy for skin! I have sensitive dry skin and did not find it gave me any problems!
Here are a few other Glossier products I am looking forward to trying:
That milky jelly cleanser and the moon mask look too good!

Outfit Update + Thanksgiving Inspiration

Good morning friends! I had SUCH a busy weekend, but it was filled with so many family and friends. I went home to Lafayette and got to see my sister ride in her university's homecoming parade, have an LSU game party at my dad's, and then Sunday lunch at my grandparents, which is always my favorite. Hope you guys had a great weekend as well!
Today I'm doing an update of some of my recent Instagram outfit posts, because I've been trying to get into the more fashion-y side of the blog world. If you don't yet follow me, (please do!) you can do so here for my personal account and here for the NEW Sarah Smile account!
This is my staple fall outfit. Booties (or flats) with a comfy sweater or flannel and leggings. It's easy, comfortable, and works for class/work/running errands/etc.The flannel in the picture is the perfect "long but not a paper sack" style and the slits up the side give it an extra something! So inexpensive too!

This was one of the first "blog shoots" that Myles and I did and I still love it. Those TOMS boots come with my everywhere I go because they're both comfortable AND they go with everything. Plus, between the softest cozy grey sweater I own and that perfect fall blanket scarf, I want to wear it all the time. I'm thinking this would be a great casual Thanksgiving Day outfit, depending on the weather of course!
Y'all, these purple corduroy pants are easily one of my top 5 favorite things right now. They are the same fit as my favorite Old Navy rockstar skinny jeans, but they are SO soft and velvety. They have them in multiple colors, but that eggplant purple is perfect for this time of year. I styled them with a basic white tee shirt and then threw on a jacket later, but they have so much potential! I'd say they fit true to size, but hurry and snatch them up before they completely sell out! My mom actually tried to steal mine.

The other things currently topping my fall favorites list? These things you see right here! My favorite nude flats are STILL on sale for only $100, but the real show stopper is this suede skirt. I waited for ever for it to be restocked and it was so worth it. It is so soft and well made in person, not to mention goes with everything. If it's a bit warmer on Thanksgiving I might pair this skirt with a light sweater and my newest J.Crew ruffle flannel that I can't wait to share with you guys! Look for that on my instagram this week!
Have a great week!!
