Hi friends! I am so excited to share this post with you, as I was so sweetly treated to a blowout at drybar on Sunday! Most of you will know that I am a huge Kate Middleton fan. And with that comes my love of bouncy, soft hair. I have tried to so many times to get that volumized, blownout look, but after having to cut a round brush out of my hair, I've left it to the professionals. Well, I can truly say that drybar was such a fun experience and mu hair turned out great. I would 10/10 recommend it to anyone who wants to feel pampered or learn a few hair tricks!
I had never been to a drybar salon before this weekend, but y'all, I was so impressed! If you aren't sure what drybar is, it is a salon that washes and styles your hair, to give it a fresh, bouncy, blown out look. They use their own line of hairdryers, curlers, and brushes, to get that effect.
I was immediately helped when I walked in, offered a ton of different drink options (I went for the mimosa!), and then given a look book of style options to choose from. I chose the Southern comfort, curls and volue galore! Drybar offers tons of different styles - from sleek and straight to huge curls to a fancy updo - as well as add-ons like a head massage, a braid, or a hair mask. They play girly movies on the TVs and the whole atmosphere is perfect for relaxing and enjoying getting your hair done. Plus, since they only do blowouts, no cuts or colors, you can be in and out on your lunch break or get totally primped before a date night.
I've been using the Southern belle volumizing mousse for about 2 years, and I love the texture and volume it adds to my hair when I blow dry it. I was so excited to try some of drybar's other products and I loved all of them! As someone with fine hair, I have to be really careful about how many products I use. Ebony, who did my hair, recommended a few things after talking to me about my hair and I loved how it turned out. None of the products weighed my hair down or made it look greasy + they smell amazing.I would highly recommend Triple Sec, which combines a texturizer and a dry shampoo, and Texas Tea volumizing hair spray. I linked a bunch of other products and hair tools that I think are great below!
Y'all, it lived up to everything I could've wanted and I would highly recommend getting a blowout at drybar for any of your upcoming Mardi Gras balls, formals, or special occasions coming up!
